Birth Doula Services

I support births in all settings- home, birth center, and hospital in the greater Colorado Springs area including Fountain, Woodland Park, Manitou Springs, Monument, Security Widefield, Palmer Lake, and Pueblo West.

While I am fully supportive of any birth plan, my doula skillset is usually geared toward those planning an unmedicated birth or who have specific advocacy goals.

I am on Beginnings Birth Center's Approved List.

Team Doula Support

Meet Emma Swank

Starting with clients due in November 2025 and beyond, I, Emma Sanchez, and Emma Swank (yes we are both Emma S's) will be sharing all our clients. You will meet both of us during your consult and prenatal visits, and then receive birth doula support from whoever is on call during your labor and birth.

We are both on Beginnings Birth Center's approved list.

Abundant Births

First Unmedicated Birth

For those clients planning their first unmedicated birth (including VBAC and previous epidural birth)

Included in this package:

- Unlimited phone and text support throughout your pregnancy

- 2 prenatal appointments (one with each doula) to discuss your birth wishes, practice comfort measures with you and your partner, and answer all of your questions

- On-call and unlimited labor support from 38-42 weeks

- 1 postpartum visit to debrief your birth

- TENS unit and other labor support items to use during your labor

- Doula "Office Hours" available monthly during your pregnancy

Investment: $1500

Repeat Unmedicated Birth

For those clients who have had at least one previous birth without an epidural.

Included in this package:

- Unlimited phone and text support throughout your pregnancy

- 2 prenatal appointments (one with each doula) to discuss your birth wishes, practice comfort measures with you and your partner, and answer all of your questions

- On-call and unlimited labor support from 38-42 weeks

- 1 postpartum visit to debrief your birth

- TENS unit and other labor support items to use during your labor

- Doula "Office Hours" available monthly during your pregnancy

Investment: $1100

Doula Office Hours

A meet up available just for our clients.

Once a month, Emma and I will choose a date and time to meet at a park, coffee shop, hike for a couple hours, and you are invited to join!

Pick our brains about anything birthy, or just hangout and chat with other moms.

Bring your kids or your dog (if we're outside), these are super casual.

Community is super important to me, because having someone you know and trust in your birth space changes everything.

Classes and Other Services

I am thrilled to offer a cloth diapering program, Cloth Diaper Boot Camp, and be a co-teacher of an advocacy class, Your Birth, Your Voice. I do not currently offer a childbirth education class, however, I do require all my clients to take a childbirth education class and am happy to provide recommendations to the very best ones in our community.

Cloth Diaper Boot Camp

Want to cloth diaper but feel overwhelmed by where to start? This program includes ALL the supplies (including diapers) you need to start and in-home setup and one-on-one class.

This program more than pays for itself in savings within the first 6 months of diapering.

Your Birth, Your Voice

Taught in collaboration with Empowered Life Birth Collective and Time To Push.

In this single-evening class, you and your birth team will be empowered with advocacy tools to achieve a birth that aligns with your values and maintains your autonomy. In the first hour of class, you will learn your legal rights, as well as tangible advocacy tools. In the second hour, we will practice these tools through simulations and role play. Leave with clear verbiage to advocate for what matters to you in your birth, as well as a take-home advocacy tool card deck.

Partners will have a new-found sense of purpose in the birth room and the tools to support it!

Insurance Coverage

Maranatha Birth Doula Services currently accepts the following insurance plans:

- Health First Colorado (Medicaid)

- CHP+

- Tricare/Triwest (Prime and Select)

- Kaiser Permanente

Medicaid, CHP+, Tricare 100% of my Birth Doula package. Kaiser is specific to your plan and deductible.

Additional Insurance Coverage

For clients with insurance other than Medicaid, CHP+, or Tricare, I cannot guarantee that my services will be covered by your insurance company. Most plans do not cover doulas, but more and more benefits are starting to, so it is always worth double checking your benefits. I am happy to provide you with a superbill that has my provider information and care codes that can be submitted to insurance for reimbursement after services have been provided.

Doula services can also be paid with an HSA or FSA account.
