Birth Doula Services
I support births in all settings- home, birth center, and hospital in the greater Colorado Springs area including Fountain, Woodland Park, Manitou Springs, Monument, Security Widefield, Palmer Lake, and Pueblo West.
While I am fully supportive of any birth plan, my doula skillset is usually geared toward those planning an unmedicated birth or who have specific advocacy goals.
I am on Beginnings Birth Center's Approved List.
First Vaginal Birth
For those clients planning their first birth or for VBAC.
Included in this package:
- Unlimited phone and text support throughout your pregnancy
- 2 prenatal appointments (one with each doula) to discuss your birth wishes, practice comfort measures with you and your partner, and answer all of your questions
- On-call and unlimited labor support from 38-42 weeks
- 1 postpartum visit to debrief your birth
- TENS unit and other labor support items to use during your labor
- Doula "Office Hours" available monthly during your pregnancy
Investment: $1600
Experienced Families
For those clients who have had at least one previous vaginal birth.
Included in this package:
- Unlimited phone and text support throughout your pregnancy
- 2 prenatal appointments (one with each doula) to discuss your birth wishes, practice comfort measures with you and your partner, and answer all of your questions
- On-call and unlimited labor support from 38-42 weeks
- 1 postpartum visit to debrief your birth
- TENS unit and other labor support items to use during your labor
- Doula "Office Hours" available monthly during your pregnancy
Investment: $1200
Doula Office Hours
A meet up available just for our clients.
Once every couple months I offer a meetup for clients.
Pick our brains about anything birthy, or just hangout and chat with other moms.
Bring your kids or your dog (if we're outside), these are super casual.
Community is super important to me, because having someone you know and trust in your birth space changes everything.
These are available during your pregnancy and for as long as you like postpartum.
Classes and Other Services
I am thrilled to offer a cloth diapering program, Cloth Diaper Boot Camp, and be an occasional guest teacher with Empowered Life. I do not currently offer a childbirth education class, however, I do require all my clients to take a childbirth education class and am happy to provide recommendations to the very best ones in our community.
Cloth Diaper Boot Camp
Want to cloth diaper but feel overwhelmed by where to start? This program includes ALL the supplies (including diapers) you need to start and in-home setup and one-on-one class.
This program more than pays for itself in savings within the first 6 months of diapering.
My doula clients get a $50 discount on any package.
Childbirth Education
I teach Childbirth Education with two lovely co-teachers, Brandy and Amanda, with Time to Push.
We have a 3 week childbirth education series, and then a 5 week series that also includes newborn care and breastfeeding.
This class is on the approved list for Beginnings Birth Center's childbirth education requirement.
I offer a $100 discount off my doula package for clients how take childbirth ed with Time to Push.
Birth Photography
I offer simple phone pictures and videos for all my clients who desire that for their births.
For home birth and hospital clients, I am also happy to bring my nicer camera and capture and edit some higher quality birth photos as well.
Co-op Doula Support
Starting in September, I am going to take a very limited number of clients, and will primarily be working with Rocky Mountain Doula Cooperative. Receive experienced, collaborative doula support from a team of doulas. This is an option for Beginnings Birth Center clients who need an approved doula. Insurance options available! Check out our website!
Insurance Coverage
Maranatha Birth Doula Services currently accepts the following insurance plans:
- Health First Colorado (Medicaid)
- CHP+
- Tricare/Triwest (Prime and Select)
- Kaiser Permanente
- United Healthcare
Medicaid, CHP+, Tricare 100% of my Birth Doula package. Kaiser and United is specific to your plan and deductible.
Additional Insurance Coverage
For clients with insurance other than Medicaid, CHP+, or Tricare, I cannot guarantee that my services will be covered by your insurance company. Most plans do not cover doulas, but more and more benefits are starting to, so it is always worth double checking your benefits. I am happy to provide you with a superbill that has my provider information and care codes that can be submitted to insurance for reimbursement after services have been provided.
Doula services can also be paid with an HSA or FSA account.
